SHAWN CASEMORE
As president of EMC, Shawn is passionate about manufacturing in Canada. Having worked in senior level roles in Production, Supply Chain Management, Project Management and Sales with organizations such as Magna International, Bellwyck Packaging, Pilkington Glass and Bruce Power, his entire career has been focused in manufacturing. A strong believer in the power of collaboration, Shawn strives to ensure manufacturers across Canada are supported in overcoming their greatest challenges while further growing their operations and increasing productivity.
GWENAËLE MONTAGNER
Gwenaele is director, International Trade Development, WTC – Toronto with the Toronto Region Board of Trade. She has 25 years of international business experience spanning markets in Africa and Latin America. She brings a wealth of experience and outstanding track record in developing the global market presence of Canadian companies.
PETER KUCHEREPA
Peter lives at the intersection of business, law and policy in international trade. He is an adjunct professor in international business, a commercial lawyer, former Trade Commissioner, and a trade policy leader in government. He is a director of the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) and former recipient of the Ontario Export Award.
   CAROLYN POWELL
Buffalo native Carolyn Powell is a member of Invest Buffalo Niagara’s Business Development team, where she focuses on the Canadian market. She is an integral resource to Canadian companies seeking to establish a U.S. location, especially as they navigate issues of international due diligence such as immigration procedures, business setup, workforce, and locating needed local resources. Since joining Invest Buffalo Niagara in 2008, Carolyn has helped over 50 Canadian companies expand into the Buffalo Niagara region, representing over $500 million in investment and more than 1,500 jobs. Carolyn also works with businesses involved in food processing, advanced manufacturing, and warehouse distribution. Prior to joining the Invest Buffalo Niagara, Carolyn served as General Manager at HQ/The Regus Group, providing Fortune 500, mid-size, and start up American and Canadian companies with executive office space and U.S. Address services.

 

AUDREY ROSS
Currently an in-house expert on global shipping, supply chain operations, customs compliance, free trade agreements and international tax at Orchard Custom Beauty, Audrey elegantly translates mundane details into beautiful results. With more than a decade of experience in a privately held global business based in Canada, she is often asked to contribute as a subject matter expert to interviews, white papers and event panels. Audrey is the Board Member for Social Media & Communications for Fashion Group International Toronto.
  DAN DEMERS
Dan is co-owner of International Documents Canada (IDC), which helps Canadian exporters meet their international document and regulatory requirements. Dan has served as Chief of Staff to two Federal Ministers, Director of National Public issues for the Canadian Cancer Society and as a Director at the National Research Council and the Standards Council. Brings over twenty years of experience working in industry, governments and non-governmental organizations with a highly successful track record of developing lasting partnerships and solutions. 
KLAUS PIRKER
Klaus has honed his expertise in industrial automation, control instrumentation and OEM markets as publisher of Manufacturing Automation since 1993. Klaus’s extensive industry expertise drives the sales and marketing strategy for the Canadian publication, which covers the application of automation systems and technology on the factory floor, and reaches more than 19,000 buyers and specifiers. A special interest in Industry 4.0 and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), previous roles publishing magazines for the German American and Canadian German Chamber of Industry and Commerce and a degree in hotel management round out the foundation of his distinguished career.
  JEFF BROWNLEE
Jeff is the publisher of Plant magazine, as well as CanadianManufacturing.com and Cleantech Canada. Previously, he spent 13 years as vice president, public affairs, marketing and business development at Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) – Canada’s largest and longest-standing trade and industry association – and also published CME’s 20/20 magazine. In this expansive role, Jeff led the organization’s overall engagement strategy, with responsibility for growing CME’s membership base and influence. Jeff has served at a senior level in numerous federal government departments – including finance and security – and was press secretary for Canada’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance.
